About This Course

Welcome to MAPS for Assessors!

Specifically designed for current or future MAPS assessors who wish to bolster their skills further and obtain the MAPS Certification, this course contains two modules that are tailored to people who will be working with the MAPS framework in assessments:

  • 9. Applying MAPS
  • 10. Becoming a MAPS assessor

The modules are an addition to those found in the MAPS Fundamentals course and take for granted the knowledge found in them. The two modules deal with aspects of MAPS that are particular to the practical reality of conducting assessments, and as such will be less relevant to general stakeholders.

All the modules consist of parts where you need to listen, elements you must read and things you must do. In every course there are knowledge checks. The purpose of these is you make you reflect on and use what you have learned in the course. You will be graded based on your answers, and a minimum of 80 pct. correct answers is required to pass the course.

The modules are self-paced. All sections of a module, including knowledge checks, must be completed in order to pass the module.

For each module there is a reading list. This contains material that is considered prerequisite for the module. This means that you should familiarize yourself with the material in the list. The content of the module and the knowledge check will assume that you have done so.
